A VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE REIMAGINING BLACK WALL STREET BEFORE THE FIRE.
Refuge: Triumph in Tulsa invites participants to sit at the dinner table on the eve of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre—immersed in a world alive with ambition, innovation, and hope. Through 360° visuals and spatial audio, you experience the voices, laughter, and brilliance of Black Wall Street as its visionaries imagine how to build more communities like their own.

A VR EXPERIENCE THAT RESTORES MEMORY AND REIMAGINES HISTORY
Completed Production
The format strategy for Refuge: Triumph in Tulsa centers on immersive storytelling as a form of restoration. Designed for virtual reality, the experience places the audience inside history—able to look, listen, and feel the living pulse of a moment often reduced to tragedy. By focusing on the day before destruction, the project reframes the narrative around creativity, collaboration, and triumph.
Our goal is to merge historical accuracy with emotional immersion, using technology to preserve memory and honor the brilliance of a thriving Black community. Through this experience, Refuge: Triumph in Tulsa transforms remembrance into presence—allowing participants not only to witness history, but to sit within it, and carry its spirit forward.
